Mirriad adds distinguished media executives to help drive sales and build global partnerships

Adam Svoboda joins as EVP, North America, and Christopher Gu named Vice President of Content Partnerships, China

New York, NY, July 26, 2018 — Video technology company Mirriad today announced the strategic hiring of Adam Svoboda as Executive Vice President of North American Operations, and Christopher Gu as VP Content Partnerships, China. Svoboda, a former Sales Operations Executive at NBCUniversal, and Gu, an established media executive in the APAC region, both possess diverse experience in the TV advertising business and a high-level understanding of media organizations around the globe.

Svoboda as EVP for North America will focus on growing Mirriad’s US revenue while developing new strategies to enhance the In-Video ad experience for its customers. His media savviness and understanding of linear and digital operations will help grow company partnerships and streamline workflow for Broadcaster, Studio and Agency partners to incorporate Mirriad’s In-Video ad solution. Previously, Svoboda was at NBCU where he managed advertising sales operations across NBC, USA and Syfy TV Networks and digital platforms. Prior to that Adam held a series of management positions leading ESPN ad operations and client services teams.

Gu will help drive Mirriad’s content initiatives in China and negotiate new business dealings with main clients such as the broadcasters, media groups, and film and drama companies to clear content and increase overall inventory. Previously, he was General Manager of Pan-Entertainment in Ergeng Group, producing the first psychodrama program in media and internet industry in China. Chris was the first appointed CIO (Chief Intellectual Properties Officer) of Huace Group, the biggest drama company and the first listed company in content production and distribution in China. Chris put forward the Super IP Strategy that has been used as the group business strategy by Huace and has greatly impacted the Chinese media industry.
