With extensive executive experience in high growth companies such as Eicon Network, SDX Business systems, Lucent Technologies, Mobile Media, and BBC Ventures Group, and BBC Vecta – he is now CEO of MirriAd. Mark has a thorough understanding of contemporary technology and business models in digital media, on-line advertising as well as telecoms and mobile.

Dennis (Denny) Wilkinson has over 25 years of experience with start up and high growth organizations in technology and media. Denny has held senior management positions in advertising, programming, distribution and media technology over his extensive career. Denny has led companies such as BlackArrow Inc., Lenfest Media, and Princeton Video Image, the creator of the virtual first down line now universally used in NFL broadcasts. Prior to PVI, Denny held senior positions in programming and marketing at PrimeStar Satellite TV, HBO, and at leading US advertising agencies. Denny has a BA from Princeton University and has studied at the Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development.

Janko has over 15 years experience in Internet and Mobile Internet and was a pioneer of interactive television. He has achieved high-yielding returns to shareholders in technology company sales and is the founder of several successful IT and Telecoms ventures. Prior to joining MirriAd he was Managing Director of Dynamical Systems Research, Technical Director at Digital Mobility, and Director of Applied Technology at BBC Vecta, the BBC’s Venturing arm. Janko is an acknowledged speaker, lecturer, author of scientific publications and inventor of patent applications in areas of Computing, Neural Networks, Telecommunications, Interactive Television and Electrical Engineering. Janko holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College.

Anthony has a proven track record supporting and directing software and technology businesses as they rapidly scale within the UK, US and Europe. He has overseen the expansion into the US of both Micromuse and Tideway Systems and built the systems and processes necessary for headcount and revenue growth at the 100% per annum level. Anthony is a hands-on CFO, seasoned in fundraising having led or supported 8 rounds of VC funding exceeding $45m in his tenure at MirriAd, Micromuse, Tideway Systems and CableNet International Limited. He is a top-four trained ACA with thirteen years commercial experience having trained in 1988 at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Paul is Chief Revenue Officer for MirriAd. Paul began his career in media as a Planner at Grey Advertising. After sales stints at Golf Digest magazine, then-fledgling cable network ESPN and upstart broadcast network Fox, Paul “went Hollywood” after optioning a screenplay and spent the next three years writing for television shows. Next, he held senior positions Wieden and Kennedy, ESPN, and PVI which led to a position as Senior Vice President, Sales at worldwide sports marketing entity Octagon. Prior to joining MirriAd, Paul worked with Magna Global in their branded entertainment division, also launching Firebrand, a new advertising business both on line and on TV.

Marco has developed a unique set of experiences in traditional and digital advertising at some of the largest global Media corporations including Deloitte serving and AT&T. At Cable & Wireless Italy he managed the M&A of 4 internet companies and their integration into the C&W European network of about 40 ISPs, becoming the first European Internet Player. At Mediaset Marco managed interactive advertising projects – to develop and sell for online, mobile and digital terrestrial Television platforms, including sponsorship and e-commerce services. As Branded Entertainment Executive Director at Endemol International, Marco lead advertising sales including product placement, brand integration and fully-funded advertising format deals, supporting top international brands with a sales network of 25 countries. Marco is Chief Business Officer International of Mirriad. He believes that advertising and communication are being revolutionized by a mix of new marketing and technology and that by embedding brands in content MirriAd will play a definitive role in that revolution.

Kian has over 15 years senior experience in operations for new technology propositions. Kian started his career at Global Communications Limited, going on to lead worldwide product marketing of CRM applications in Lucent Technologies’ small to medium business solutions portfolio. Since 2001 Kian has concentrated on leading complex and substantial business operations, first at Telewest Broadband, and later as Operations Director in technology innovations at the BBC. Having set up MirriAd’s off shore operation centers, Kian is now responsible for service delivery globally. Kian holds a Masters degree in software engineering from Imperial College, London.

CE Raum has over 20 years experience in editorial and visual effects. CE’s trademark is photo-realistic VFX and has become a recognized industry expert. He has lectured throughout North America, Europe and AsiaPac on advanced VFX topics such as lighting, tracking and 3D. The challenges of large VFX pipelines motivated CE to move from traditional post production to software systems design, and to address those challenges by designing new asset management and workflow pipelines. CE has helped change the way the industry values meta data to search and organize media libraries. CE has worked in the US, Europe and Asia and has served in roles such as Senior Product Designer for industry giant Autodesk Media and Entertainment, Ascent Media as VFX Supervisor for R!OT and has worked with clients such as ITV, CBS, Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann Ericsson, JWT, Coca Cola, Turner and many others.

Phil is a “hands-on” creator of technology, experienced in leading the research and development functions for MirriAd. Phil has a track record of delivering 6 commercial products in 6 years, which are now sold and supported through a worldwide network of over 50 resellers. With over 20 publications and papers in refereed journals and conferences, Phil is recognized as a leading expert in imaging technology especially in the field of 2D planar region tracking. Phil holds a PhD in Computer Vision and was most recently the co-founder of Imagineer Systems in 2001, a company that creates advanced tools for professional video post-production.

Peter Bazalgette is a media consultant specialising in television and digital entertainment. He is non-executive Chairman of two of Sony’s television divisions in the UK, non-executive director of MyVideoRights and Nutopia and also a member of BBH’s Advisory Board.
From 2004-2007 he was Chief Creative Officer of Endemol. He has personally devised several internationally successful TV formats, such as Ready Steady Cook and Changing Rooms. He also brought Big Brother to the UK. Peter’s book about the business of TV formats, Billion Dollar Game, was published in 2005.
Peter is also a non-executive director of YouGov and a former Board member of Channel 4. He serves as Deputy Chairman of the National Film and Television School and Deputy Chairman of the English National Opera. -

Stephen D Bullock MCIM DipM, held senior marketing and director positions in the Healthcare sector prior to founding venture capital backed Medical Action Communications (MAC), an international pharmaceutical marketing agency. The company won the BCVA start-up of the year in 1992 and Bullock developed MAC into a global market leader. In 1997, he negotiated the sale of the business to Quintiles Transnational Corp, a NASDAQ-quoted Pharmaceutical CRO and he became CEO of a global specialist division. In 2000 he left Quintiles to focus on entrepreneurial ventures and is an active Private Investor and consultant to early stage companies in the Technology, Software, B2B services, Media and Healthcare sectors.

Dr Bruce Smith is Chairman of the Council of the Smith Institute. Until 1997 he was the Chairman and majority shareholder of Smith System Engineering Limited. Before founding that company in 1971, he worked in design engineering for Decca Radar Limited after a period in the United States with Bellcomm Inc in the US Space programme. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Institute of Physics. Bruce is Chairman of the Rainbow Seed Fund, Chairman of IP Group PLC, a director of a number of private companies and a Domus Fellow of St Catherine’s College, Oxford.
