(SENIOR) VICE PRESIDENT BRAND PARTNERSHIPS

 

Reports to: Global Head of Brand Partnerships

Location: New York – USA

Purpose of the Role

The (Senior) Vice President within the Brand Partnerships team will manage important agencies and brand clients in region with a view to growing revenues from both existing and new accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales

  • Negotiate with clients to achieve optimal revenue and profit margin as set and agreed with Mirriad’s Global Head of Sales
  • Agree achievable commercial goals with key managers and execute accordingly
  • Liaison with customer sales teams in the delivery of successful campaigns and meeting key stakeholder objectives
  • Negotiate and Input directly into Mirriad’s commercial objectives
  • Manage the sales and delivery process from a commercial perspective for the region focused on client side partnerships with agencies and brands
  • Prepare, agree and execute a commercial plan in order to meet or exceed planned Relationship Building

Relationship Building

  • Set and manage customer expectations with a view to selling Mirriad services and meeting planned commercial goals and targets
  • Understanding advertiser briefs and able to work with both brand and agency
  • Experience in working with high profile commercial teams in broadcast and online
  • Interfacing with customers in multiple territories within the region
  • Being highly organized and able to generate concise management reports and recommend process enhancements
  • Develop brand client and agency relationships with a view to securing greater ad spend
  • Act as a primary point of contact for all aspects of any given client relationship
  • Act as the client champion within Mirriad, working with senior management, account teams, and technology to improve platform efficiency

Person Specification

Essential

An experienced media person familiar with professionally produced content and related media environments. Candidate must have 10+ years of agency experience (either working with or working for).

Experience

Minimally at least 7+ years experience of broadcast airtime sales and preferably some online video advertising at a senior level.

Skills

This role will work alongside the regional Head of Content and Distribution and must form an effective and collaborative team approach to growing revenues in region.

Attributes

Entrepreneurial spirit and a fondness for solving problems.

Candidate will be managing agency and brand personnel at a senior level so must have enough experience to present well and manage expectations.

The ideal candidate will be an industry professional who has operated on the media sales side of a major broadcaster or video distributor or on the media buying side of a major agency. Understanding of broadcaster processes (rights management, sales, compliance) and digital is important.

The candidate should have a good working knowledge of the branded entertainment sector and sponsorship business models, but not necessarily direct experience. The individual should have a successful track record in meeting revenue goals within a complex stakeholder environment including; brand, agency, within a broadcast, online video content distribution environment. Proven management/leadership skills are a must as well as a good commercial network and knowledge of the region.

Additionally, the candidate must be comfortable working in a high-pressure commercial organisation and must be able to accurately communicate commercial requirements and briefs to line management in Mirriad. Superior communication skills and good use of English are a must.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Radio & TV or related discipline
  • 5 years related marketing experience and prior agency experience and broadcast airtime sales.
